Study tips for lazy students

Who is a Lazy Student?

Like I said above, this article will be recognizing the big difference between students.

In any school, we have the;

·        Smart students

·        Hard-working students

·        And the lazy students

All three students are intelligent but what normally differentiates them is their approach to their academics. The smart students would usually make a lot of A’s because they understand the core principles of studying. The hard-working students are next in line in the academic world of success. Lastly, we have lazy students. The lazy students are normally the ones making bad grades in any school because they are too lazy to read.

The principal concern of this article is on lazy students. The goal is to help lazy students achieve a good level of academic success even while they are not putting their best into studying.

There are so many reasons why a student can be very lazy in his or her academics. Some of these reasons include;

·        Foundation:

Foundation entails the beginning of a thing. The way a student was taught academically at the early stage of his or her life will determine to a large extent that student’s commitment to academics.

Some students did not enjoy the privilege of being given good academic attention. Their parents were often very busy unable to teach them their assignments and their teachers do not have the capacity to give every student the same maximum attention.

Most of these students, therefore, begin to see academics as something less important which eventually makes them lazy students in the future.

The early part of one’s academic journey plays a relevant role in one’s academic success in years to come.

·        Lack of interest in academics:

There are so many reasons why a student may lack interest in his or her academics. One of the chief causes is when a student does not see the relevancy of his or her academics.

Another is when a student has tried to succeed academically but keeps failing. This can make a student lose interest in his or her academics and afterward become a lazy student.

·        Other priorities are getting in the way:

When other priorities are getting in the way, one’s academics may suffer. For instance, when a student becomes more conscious of partying, playing, watching TV, etc. than his or her academics, that would make that student lazily approach his or her academics.

Whatever the case may be, this article would help you succeed academically as a lazy student.

1.     Be determined to follow the tips provided in this article:

The thing about lazy students is that they are sometimes too lazy to follow even the simplest instruction. They are always finding the quickest way to success. Some might even want to skip these articles yet still have the knowledge written in this article.

Well if you are serious to succeed academically even while being lazy, you would have to try not to be too lazy to read this article to the end.

2.     Work on your mindset:

In my own view, laziness is sometimes a habit that first sticks to your mind. If you wish to succeed as a lazy student then there are certain things which you must not be lazy about. For example, you must not be lazy about reading this article to the end, going for classes, listening in class, etc. These jobs are not hard at all but sometimes laziness would make it look hard.

3.     Go to Classes Regularly:

This is not so hard, is it? Your teacher wasn’t employed for nothing. He or she was employed to simplify various concepts for you. If you understand these concepts, you would find it very easy to read.

The more you go to classes and listen to your teachers, the easier it is for you to understand difficult concepts which afterward would help you succeed in your academics.

4.     Watching educational interesting videos concerning your study:

Almost everyone in this modern world watches television. Why? It is interesting! To enhance your understanding of concept more, you would need to watch interesting educational videos about concepts that may be difficult for you to understand. There is no need of reading hard to understand those concepts.

There was a time I had problems understanding the concept of electromagnetism. Rather than reading, I began to browse and download various videos on magnetism on YouTube. Some were extremely boring. Be sure to skip boring videos. Some were very practical. With time, I could talk on and on about electromagnetism without reading.

5.     Glancing through your study materials:

When you decide to study, simply glance through your study materials. This is important, as it helps you to have an oversight of what you are studying.

6.     Using an intelligent student to do all the hard work for you:

This is somewhat the most important point of this article. Okay, this is how it works. You would need to make friend with an intelligent student.

Next, you would need to ask him to guide your reading by pinpointing the core points in each study material.

Ask him or her to provide a summary of each heading in your study material in the shortest possible way. For instance, that intelligent student can mark just two important sentences per headings in your study material which you must read. He or she can also help you provide a sequence of the priority of concepts in your study material. This can be done by showing which concept is likely to come out during an exam or test and which concept may not show up.

Ask him or her to rephrase complicated sentences which you may find it difficult to memorize or understand more simply.

When I was in university, I helped so many students organize their reading this way. I would be honest with you; so many of these students pass their exams very well.

7.     Studying a few minutes every day or consistently:

Keep studying the few things you have to read consistently. You can choose to read for 30 minutes every day. 30 minutes of reading is so small but when done consistently can produce massive results.
