Scotland's Saltire Scholarships 2021
Scholarship Description:
Scotland's Saltire Scholarships is a programme
initiated by the Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish
Universities. This scholarship was created to sponsor citizens of certain countries to study in Scotland.
The scholarships are designed for students with the
aspiration to become influential leaders and who have amazing goals outside
their studies, as well as a desire to broaden their personal and academic
experience in Scotland.

Scotland’s Saltire’s Scholarship would be only
available to nationals of the following countries; China (including Hong Kong),
India, Canada, Japan, Pakistan, and USA.

Value of Scholarship:
The Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships is worth £8 000
to be used towards tuition fees for the duration of 1 year of full time study
on a postgraduate Masters programme.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship,
applicants must meet the following criteria;

Must be offered admission (whether
conditionally or unconditionally) at Scottish university on an eligible course
that will be delivered physically in Scotland or via distance online learning
or via combination of both
·
Must be a citizen of Canada, China
(including Hong Kong), Japan, USA, Pakistan and Indian.
·
Must be able to demonstrate the ability
to meet the costs of living in Scotland (where this is applicable) and the
remaining tuition fees.
·
Must not have studied in Scotland before
·
Must not have been awarded the Saltire
Scholarships before
·
Should be able to meet the language
requirements of the course.
In addition;
·
Applicants must show an interest in
studying in Scotland and/ or a particular university in Scotland and must
aspire to contribute in a global context and take position of leadership in
their career.
·
Applicants must also show the
willingness and important interpersonal and communication skills required to
participate in the programme of activities that comes with the scholarships.
Application Process:
It is necessary applicants have a conditional or
unconditional admission offer at a Scotland’s
higher education institutions
on
an eligible course. Next applicants would submit an application form online and
should include your unique reference number you must have received in the offer
letter from your Scottish University.
