Chancellor’s International and EU Scholarship Description

The University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available to postgraduate international applicants. The scholarship scheme is a highly competitive one and only academic applicants with excellent academic records and potential would be considered.

Field of Study:

The scholarship will cover any taught full-time master’s programme at the University of Sussex schools. However, the following programmes are not eligible for the scholarship;

·        Postgraduate diplomas (including CPE Common Professional Examination)

·        Corruption, Law and Governance LLM (delivered in Qatar)

·        Development Studies MA

·        Early Years in Education MA (with Early Years Teacher status)

·        Globalisation, Business and Development MA

·        Governance, Development and Public Policy MA

·        Power, Participation and Social Change MA

·        Poverty and Development MA

·        Masters’ degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)

·        PGCE courses

·        Schools direct teaching courses

·        Any Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. those receiving ESRC 1+3 funding are not eligible)

Each University of Sussex Chancellor’s International and EU Scholarship is worth £5, 000

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the University of Sussex Chancellor’s International and EU Scholarship, applicants must;

·        Be classified as ‘overseas’ for fee purposes

·        Be taking up a place on a full time Master’s degree at Sussex

·        Have excellent academic grades

Application Process:

You must have received and accepted an admission offer of a place on an eligible Master’s programme at Sussex before you can be considered for the Chancellors International Scholarship.
